Having featured three times for Scotland under-18s and making his debut for United's Reserves he signed his first professional contract on 8th November. Academy Manager Joe Joyce stated: "He's a real determined individual and he knows that there's still a lot of hard work to be done, but he thoroughly deserves his first professional contract”. He nets his first competitive goal for the club in the EFL Trophy at Port Vale.
Elliot signed a new long-term contract on his 18th birthday. He played 12 times for the Reserves and made his senior debut (aged 19) as a substitute in the FA Cup tie at Arsenal and then came on again at Arsenal in the Premier League just over a week later.
He played for Scotland U19’s and in March he played for England-U19’s in an unofficial game against the Arsenal U23 team.
